Who is the controller
jirulabs. Contact for any data protection matter: info@jirulabs.com.
What the data is used for
To analyse the listing and the conversation you send us and tell you whether they look like known rental scams, and to recognise listings and advertisers that repeat in other people's cases. The legal basis is your request for the analysis and the legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
What we keep and for how long
- Screenshots: not kept. Your browser shrinks them, they reach us, they are read for the analysis and discarded.
- Text of the case and report: 30 days; then they are deleted.
- Advertiser's details (phone, IBAN, email, name) and the property's (link, address): only as an irreversible fingerprint (HMAC), to recognise listings that repeat. They cannot be turned back into the data.
- Your connection: we do not keep your IP address. We only keep an irreversible fingerprint of it to apply the daily limit of analyses; usage records are deleted after 7 days.
- Anonymous record of each case, with no expiry: signals found, channel, country of the phone or account, amounts. It holds nobody's data and no text; it helps us understand how scams work.
Who else sees the data
- The analysis is done by an OpenAI AI model, which we reach through OpenCode. It does not train on this data, but OpenAI keeps a log of requests for up to 30 days to detect abuse.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone else, and we use no cookies or analytics.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, objection or restriction by writing to info@jirulabs.com. As we do not ask you for anything that identifies you, tell us the day and approximate time of the analysis so we can find it. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
If you are a landlord or advertiser
If you think your details are in our registry by mistake, write to us: we review it and stop using them. The report never claims that someone is a scammer; it describes patterns found in known scams.
